More about the book: Jandals in Japan Podcast to be published as a Japan Business Handbook.

For nearly four years, since March 2022, the Jandals in Japan podcast has captured close to 100 stories of Kiwis and Japanese navigating the unique challenges and opportunities of doing New Zealand business in Japan.

This wealth of experience is being turned into a published book co-authored by Jayne and Catherine. They believe that there is a critical gap in business guidance in Japan which is truly based on authentic experiences. Existing guides tend to focus on etiquette over substance, and are not written by people who have actually built business here. The book is the solution to this gap.

As Jayne and Catherine conducted the podcast interviews they found that everyone who succeeded in Japan relied on one of five key mindsets. So the book will follow a repeatable structure highlighting one of the mindsets and gives practical actionable tips on how readers may apply the lessons to their own journey for doing business in Japan.
