Jayne Nakata Welcomes the Ricoh Black Rams - and Catherine - to Iwaki

Jayne Nakata and Iwaki City were proud to welcome  the Ricoh Black Rams and Kubota Spears at the Hawaiians Stadium in Iwaki City on May 3rd, 2026. Many supporters travelled the 2.5 hours from Tokyo into Fukushima Prefecture to cheer on their favourite teams and there was a wonderful festive atmosphere around the game. 

Jayne and Catherine were thrilled to see Tabai Matson in person after his appearance on the Jandals in Japan podcast. The Black Rams as hosts provided specially designed Hawaiian shirts for match attendees  with a design that incorporates the nationalities of the players in the squad.

Catherine enjoyed the ride back to Tokyo in the same bullet train as the Ricoh Black Rams Team and got to meet and chat with TJ Perenara and Nic Souchon as they went through the ticket gates.
