After 12 dedicated years with the Australian & New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan - including 10 years as Vice Chair - Catherine stepped down from the Executive Council to make way for fresh leadership.
The ANZCCJ reflects Catherine’s dual Kiwi-Aussie DNA, and serving this organization has been one of her greatest professional honors. From policy work and ministerial visits to co-launching the beloved Kiwi Aussie Mixer networking events, she has helped to build something special.
Catherine says: “Leadership transitions teach us valuable lessons:
Know when it's time to step aside for new voices
Celebrate achievements while staying focused on the organization's future
Maintain your commitment even when your role changes (Catherine O'Connell Law continues as a Bronze Sponsor)
Trust that the bridges you've built will endure”
To everyone who supported Catherine over the years - your confidence enabled her to give her all to building a vibrant, engaged Chamber community. Now she is cheering from the sidelines as the new team takes the field.
